Middle School or Art I for high school

ART II

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Art II is for students that want more autonomy, can work independently and want to contribute to class critiques and open to constructive criticism so they flourish artistically.  Like Art I students will be working with a variety of media such as: clay, paint, ink, pencils, printmaking, pastels, and watercolors. Students apply previously mastered drawing skills, design, color theory, spatial relationships, and creative problem solving towards more complexed works of art. Projects will be linked to historical content and focus on the elements and principles of design. During the final quarter students will research an artist create a slide presentation to and appropriate an image from the artist and render the image using the medium of their choice.
